Wednesday, November 30, 2011
Maxi skirts are yet again in the fashion clothing. You can notice many runways full of maxi skirt. It is one of the most feminine attire. Maxi skirt can be the excellent option for those who are not having right stature for maxi dresses. The print, style and color make maxi skirt look unusual from other. If you are bore of jeans, then maxi skirt is amazing alternative.

Maxi skirts are like consent for fatty women, especially for heavy bottom women. It is in full length skirt, so it covers your full legs. Women those who do not like to show their legs, maxi skirts are the finest alternative for them. Maxi Skirts are primarily known as a casual wear. It can easily replace an evening dress. You can wear maxi skirt for evening walk, any party or for shopping. It is ideal for any event.

You can wear all most anything with maxi skirt like shirt, tops, tunics blouse etc. Even you can combine and match maxi skirt with different style of top and can get special looks from same skirt. Maxi skirts have its own style and preference among the teen fashion trends.

Few talks about Maxi Skirt:

I don't have a maxi skirt, but I recently unearthed a vintage maxi dress from my mum's wardrobe and I finally plucked up the courage to wear it out yesterday (I'm very small, about 5'3", so I've always felt that a maxi would swamp me) and I got loads of compliments. I feel like I've been converted to the maxi dress/skirt trend and I am hoping to add a maxi skirt or two to my vwardrobe in the near future. So, YES, therawpower, you can pull it off! I'm shorter than you and I can pull it off. You just need to get the right fit for your body shape.

to all the shorties: maxi skirts + high waists (a la bonbonenata) are perfection! i LOVE long skirts. they sure beat all the butt-grazing minis that are out there.

Bridal  Special-Latest Mehndi Designs

Latest indian  Mehndi patterns determine the differences between different types of mehndi. Though the ritual of putting mehndi on palms and feet originated in Middle East countries, it has travelled far and now it has become an inseparable part of many castes and religion. Generally mehndi is put on a pre wedding ceremony. But, here too there is no strict boundary. It has become synonymous with celebration and enjoyment.

When you browse through the mehndi designing books in search of a perfect mehndi style, you will come across a plenty of designs, enough to astound you. But if you take a closer look, you will find that there are three basic patterns, based on which the styles and designs are mainly developed.

Every latest trend that emerges in the field of fashion usually brings an essence from past tradition. It not only forms a connection between modernity and culture but it also enhances their appeal for the people through their exotic and breath taking combinations. The major spin from Q-lots of 60’s and 70’s to lavish chooridaar of Mughal era is certainly one of the most warmly greeted trends.

Black Friday, Charcoal Gray Saturday, Silver Sunday...

Any time my family gathers, it's a blast. We laughed, we ate, we laughed some more. Soooo family, family...great, great etc.

Black Friday is irresistible. I'm not one of those 4am storming Walmart types but I do like checking out a few of my favs. We went to TJ Maxx where I saw everything from Valentino and Prada to McQueen, Rebecca Minkoff *drool*. Kooba clutch and Marc Jacobs cardigan - scored.

Then we went to Nordstrom Rack where I got a bunch of great tops, off to Off Saks which was the most incredible. David Meester, Design History and T-Bags dresses and a Lauren Merkin clutch for prices that I'm not even sure are legal. I.e. "$33" WTH.

PS. here's the outfit that I wore to dinner on Thanksgiving.

Here's what I'm wearing:
Studded shoulder cardigan - Simply Be
Blue jumper - LYS by Kmart
Belt - Torrid
Black Patent Leather Pumps - Steve Madden

Bummin' but not Slummin'

Wednesday, November 23, 2011
Thanksgiving is upon us and I wanted to do a little post to wish you all a happy holiday and to share with you a few things I'm thankful for!

1. My family - everyone says this but in truth, I have one of the most amazing families in the history of the world. We are close, we don't argue with each other, we support each other and most of all I never for a second doubt the unwavering love I feel from each of them. Beyond blessed.

2. My friends - I love you all dearly and many of you are extended family members. Old friends I've known since birth and those that have come into my life over the last few years, you mean everything to me.

3. My work - It's really a beautiful thing to have a career and not a job. Doing exactly what I want to do in life and being able to live a comfortable life doing so is a blessing.

4. Peace of mind - Too blessed to be stressed, so cliche and yet so true. I can roll with the punches and really try not to take myself too seriously. I enjoy life to the fullest and keep it moving.

5. My Macbook Pro - I'm madly in love with this little machine and have stopped holding a grudge against all of you that let me use a PC for all of these years. I forgive you.

Here's what I'm wearing:
Nothing special just bummin' in some sweats on the way to Grandma's house to help cook.

Jacket - Lane Bryant
Sweatshirt - Alloy
Harem pants - Evans
Sneakers - Converse
Bag - Rebecca Minkoff

Back in Black

I really did make an effort not to default to black today but, I love it so sue me. Moving on, we had another mid November 60+degree day here in NYC which was like heaven smiling down on us. When the temps first dipped I quickly learned my uber thin leatherette panel jacket is not to be worn as outerwear as I will freeze my a$$ off!

This is me running around Union Square returning my wicked Android SamSUCK Galaxy S II to AT&T. Then, off to see a flick with my movie soul mate. We saw In Time staring the sexy Justin T. Very cool concept, interesting story line, decent acting. Not bad, not bad at all.

It's kind of funny, as much as I love belts, I'm not one to belt dresses. But for whatever reason I reached for this green woven belt to top off my maxi dress and pow, I liked it.

Accessories take simple pieces to the next level. This leopard print hat (yes, more leopard...I'm seeking help. Promise) was a fun find from Urban Outfitters. It was quite like a treasure hunt, I was rummaging through the clearance section when I found a box of these hats tossed in a dark corner. My assumption is that they were cut too big and no one could fit them. Score me! Big head and big hair.

Here's what I'm wearing:
Hat - Urban Outfitters
Jacket - Lane Bryant
Dress - ASOS Curve
Belt - Torrid
Scarf - Gift from a friends visit to Israel
Bag - Louis Vuitton
Lips - Nars/Kink
