There's nothing new about the Maxi dress but I personally have a new found love for them. Well, let me be honest...I love THIS Maxi dress.
Seeing as how I'm 5'10, when a dress is cut long it's usually too short for me. I've most certainly worn many a Maxi but literally could only wear them with flip flops and even then, they've been just shy of too short.
So this Maxi I found on Asos last winter on clearance in a nude/blush-ish color and was madly in love and wore it layered up for winter in a Coffee Shop post. I'd been stalking Asos hoping it would reappear on the site and in different colors and FINALLY I spotted it. (EXCITED!) I bought both black and blue and wore them for some weekend chillation.
Why I love this dress:
#1 It's really long, so if you are shorter than say, 5'8...you'd need super high heels.
#2 The jersey is utterly fantastic and great quality. It doesn't pill or look terribly worn after a few washes.
#3 It has a really sexy racer back which makes it easy to dress up.
